You cannot have electronic dance music without technology, and this is why a new feature of this year’s Movement Electronic Music Festival will be an interactive Technology Center where attendees can check out, test and purchase electronic music production/performance hardware, software and accessories.

The Technology Center will be a first in the 12-year history of the three-day event. The 2,500 square-foot indoor area will be located in the underground area of Hart Plaza, across the hall from the Movement Torino stage. Festival organizers Paxahau have formed a partnership with Allen & Heath, Vestax, Novation, Focusrite, Mono, Alpine, Wharfedale Pro and Moog to be able to bring the center to the festival.

Some of the products attendees can expect to see in the Technology Center include: 1. DJ Mixers 2. MIDI Controllers 3. Audio Interfaces 4. Synthesizers

The Technology Center will be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. each day of the festival, and an itinerary of scheduled presentations and demonstrations will be made available. Organizers also say festival-goers should expect to see some of the artists performing at Movement browsing through the Technology Center. Entry will be allowed to any festival attendee.
